Stefan Labenz

Stefan Labenz has been teaching Music and English at Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Gymnasium in Berlin since 2013. In 2014, he became a teacher trainer, and since 2023, he has led the Department for Modern Foreign Languages at his school.

Beyond teaching, he has been actively involved in educational publishing. As a textbook author since 2017, he has contributed to the ABI BOX English series (Lower Saxony, Berlin/Brandenburg) since 2019 and co-edits the didactic journal Englisch 5-10 since 2022. His main areas of interest are digital reading and writing, classroom management, game-based learning and gamification, and film literacy.

In addition to his work in education, Labenz is passionate about musical theater. For over 15 years, he has written and directed musicals for teenagers.
