Research and knowledge transfer

The Department of Romance Languages at the Saarland University is internationally renowned for its excellence in research. You can read about our flagship projects such as the Käte Hamburger Centre CURE (Cultural Practices of Reparation) and the LEI (Lessico Etimologico Italiano) by clicking on the link below. Our Spanish and French teachers' days are a prominent example of how we transfer our research into practice. Making our research accessible to society is also a key principle of the Institute for Languages and Plurilingualism (ISM) and the EuroCom project. Further highlights include the Centro di Studi Italiani (CSI), the eRMi (Center for European Regional and Minority Languages in the Romance-speaking World) and the Institut d'études françaises (Villa Europa).
