Student Council

The Departmental Student Council (Fachschaftsrat) is the elected representative body for students studying Romance Languages at Saarland University (not only BA/MA in Romance Languages, but also Intercultural Communication, DFS, LIDIT and teaching degrees).

For example…

  • … we represent you in various committees relating to university policy and are your point of contact for questions relating to your student experience in our department.
  • … we plan various events every semester, such as Freshers' Day, pub crawls, picnics on the bank of the river Saar, Christmas parties and much more.
  • … we cooperate with the chair of Prof. Prifti in the minority languages in the Romance-speaking world project to give you exciting insights into Europe’s minority languages.
  • … we manage a collection of old written exams that you can view and copy.
