About
The Greenhorn Meeting is an annual meeting organized by and for young researchers in the fields of quantum optics, nano-optics, atomic physics and ultracold atomic gases. Those in the first half of their PhD or in the last year of their masters are welcome to present their ongoing research, share and discuss ideas, and network with other young scientists.
Cost & Accommodation
Infos on conference fees and accommodation will follow soon. In the case of sufficient funding, there will be no conference fee.
Date & Venue
The Greenhorn Meeting 2025 will be held at Saarland University, Germany from September 23 (Tuesday) to September 25 (Thursday). Arrival day will be September 22 (Monday) afternoon. The meeting will be hosted by the Quantum Photonics Group of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Eschner and the Quantum Optics Group of Prof. Dr. Christoph Becher.

Submission
Eligible applicants are those within the first half of their PhD or the final year of their masters. Each participant will have to present a poster and give a talk (approximately 12 minutes, followed by 3 minutes for discussion & questions).

The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2025.
