Bachelor's and Master's theses

Applications for Bachelor's and Master's projects are always welcome. You should bring experimental skill,  diligence, and of course enthusiasm for quantum optics, quantum technologies, laser spectroscopy, and atomic physics.

Example for projects (recently finished theses) are:

  • Single-ion addressing for asynchronous atom-photon entanglement
  • Polarisationsstabilisierung über eine Telekom-Faserstrecke
  • Resonanzverschiebung durch kalte Ytterbium-Atome in einem optischen Resonator
  • Spektralanalyse von Einzelphotonen
  • Entwicklung und Bau einer miniaturisierten Ionenfalle für Quantenkommunikation
  • Magnetfeldstabilisierung für hochpräzise Einzelatom-Spektroskopie
