The joint project "Adaptive Data Protection Cockpits in Digital Ecosystems (D'accord)" is developing novel concepts and tools that enable companies to achieve a higher level of legal certainty in the processing of personal data, both internally and across companies. At the center is a so-called data protection cockpit. On the one hand, this software solution acts as a central point of contact for data subjects who want to find out about the use of their personal data. This creates transparency and trust. On the other hand, data subjects can use the data protection cockpit to actively influence the use of their personal data and exercise their data subject rights. The Chair of Legal Informatics is responsible for assessing the developments in terms of data protection law.
