The English Theater group "Anglicists' Contemporary Theatre" (ACT) is putting on a new show at Saarland University from the 9th-11th July in the Aula on the University Campus. We'll be doing Jane Martin's "Talking With...".

The shows start at 7:30pm and the house opens at 7pm. Tickets are 4 Euros for students and 5 Euros for non-students. Tickets are available at the door, online and in the UdS campus mensa foyer. More info is on our website:
act-saarland.com and our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/act.saarland.

A short summary of the show:

"Talking With..." features eleven eccentric characters who talk about their lives in monologues entitled: Fifteen Minutes, Scraps, Clear Glass Marbles, Audition, Rodeo, Twirler, Lamps, Handler, Dragons, French Fries, and Marks.

The characters come from all walks of life, including a fading rodeo star; a snake handler; one aspiring actor and one working actor; a fantasizing housewife; a baton-twirler; and more. Some characters have been touched by life (Dragons) and others by death (Clear Glass Marbles).

We've had excellent reviews from the Saarbrücker Zeitung in the past, including for our production of Ralph Pape's "Say Goodnight, Gracie" which was described as "von der amerikanischen Regisseurin Carrie Ankerstein spritzig und witzig und mit Gespür für authentische Details in Szene gesetzt und von den Schauspielern professionell gut gespielt" (Kerstin Krämer, SZ, 11.07.2013)

We look forward to seeing you in the audience!
