Making It Stick: Sustainable Teaching and Learning

Who hasn’t had the feeling that they’re correcting the same mistakes by the same people over and over, revising the same words time and again, explaining the same grammar points again and again?

So how can we make sure that learning is more sustainable? What approaches, techniques and activities can help us to make our teaching stick in learners’ minds?

This year’s Teachers’ Day will explore different methods and strategies to foster the language-learning process and to promote effective teaching.

Topics will include:

  • Teaching with lexical chunks
  • Formative assessment
  • Effective listening techniques
  • Digital teaching and learning
  • Creating autonomous readers

As always, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other teachers and experts both from Germany and abroad. We look forward to welcoming you in September!
