The Faculty of Human and Business Sciences at Saarland University awards on account of an examination procedure (ordentliche Promotion) a doctoral degree in economics: Dr. rer. pol. (doctor rerum politicarum) for students coming from a perspective of economics and Dr. rer. oec. (doctor rerum oeconomicarum) for students coming from a perspective of business administration.
