Admission requirements for the Master's program
All those interested in the Master's program in Physics apply online to the Department of Physics. The basis for admission is the equivalence of the last degree with a relevant Bachelor's degree of Saarland University as well as the special aptitude. These criteria are checked by the department on the basis of the data provided in the online application. Details on this can be found in the respective valid examination regulations of the Master's program.
Please note that the courses of the Master's program are usually held in English. Therefore, a prerequisite for admission is proof of sufficient language skills - usually B2 level according to the European Framework of Reference - for the specialized studies.
If your application is accepted, you will be informed in advance by e-mail. An official certificate of acceptance will be sent to you by mail. This certificate serves as proof of acceptance of your application and is the prerequisite for enrollment in the degree program.
Before you complete and submit the online application form, please read the information under Documents for Application very carefully. They are intended to help you submit a complete application. Incomplete applications or applications received after the application deadline will not be considered.

It is very important for us to know your specific reasons for choosing our Master's program.
