The department requires students to register for several final exams (Prüfungsanmeldung). This information sheet provides an overview of exam registration in our department, which includes online registration via our website.

Subscribe to or view the department's calendar with exam dates/times/rooms, etc.

(The dates, times, and rooms for our examinations tend to be updated near the beginning of each term. Until that time, the information for the previous semester's exams will remain visible.)

Compensatory measures: Students with Nachteilsausgleiche are urged to contact their instructors early in the semester to allow adequate time for planning.

Klausur Introduction to English Linguistics–General

Tuesday, 10 Feb. 2026, 14:00

  • Register (or cancel your registration) for the Intro. to Ling.-General exam
  • (Registration is open from the 1st of December through the 31st of January [winter semester] or the 1st of June through the 15th of July [summer semester]. This applies to registration cancellation as well.)
  • PLEASE NOTE that the exam for Dr. Kopf-Giammanco's class groups will take place on a different date: Monday, 15 Dec. 2025 (time TBA). Dr. Kopf-Giammanco will let his students know separately how they are to register for the exam and by what date. Dr. Schäfer's and Dr. Ankerstein's students will register as per normal via the link above.

[PLEASE NOTE: The registration deadline varies from semester to semester given that the final exam usually takes place in the last week of class. (Dr. Ankerstein will provide more information about this exam in her course as the weeks progress. If for whatever reason you would like to take the test although you are not registered as a student in the current course, please speak with Dr. Ankerstein well before the exam week approaches.)

  • Register (or cancel your registration) for the Einführung in die Fachdidaktik Englisch exam
  • (Registration is open from the 1st of December through the 31st of January [winter semester] or the 1st of June through the 15th of July [summer semester]. This applies to registration cancellation as well. [PLEASE NOTE: The date for the final exam varies from semester to semester, so the reg. deadline may indeed be different; please look/listen for further information from your instructor.] In WiSe 2025/26: 10 Feb. 2026)

Unless announced otherwise, the exam takes place in week 15 during regular course hours and in the usual classroom. Check with Ms. Kopf-Giammanco for more information. If for whatever reason you would like to take the test although you are not registered as a student in the current course, please speak with Ms. Kopf-Giammanco well before the last week of class. This exam is always held during the last regularly scheduled class session.)
