Christian Lux

I was born and raised in Saarbrücken, and I look back fondly on those happy years when I spent a lot of time on the Saarland University campus. The practice-oriented teaching led by recognized experts in the field of my natural sciences degree was a particular highlight.

The Saarbrücken campus has state-of-the-art lab facilities that are very well equipped. As these laboratory courses would usually run over several weeks and involved spending whole days at a time in the lab, the students got to know each other very well. The students on my programme came from all over Germany as well as from abroad, which made for a good mix of different cultures. I have very fond memories of the time we spent together outside the lab buildings, both during our lunch breaks in the Mensa – where we enjoyed excellent food – and off campus.

I believe that this close contact with fellow students as well as the professors is a unique feature of Saarland University that makes it very special for students.
