Winter Session of the EIuS-Juniorworkshop 2025/26

Students from the Gymnasium am Rotenbühl in Saarbrücken who are interested in European and International law and politics were once again able to take part in the EIuS Junior Workshop at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University this year. They had the opportunity to participate in various workshops dealing with European integration. Back in November 2025, participants gained historical insight into the topic through a workshop entitled “Background to European Integration – From the European Idea to the Internal Market”. This was followed in December by an interactive workshop entitled “Legislative Procedure in the EU – CSDDD”, in which participants had the opportunity to experience the legislative process at EU level first-hand and to ‘enact’ their own directive. The “Winter Session” concluded with an excursion to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

We would like to thank all participants and the Villa Lessing – Liberale Stiftung Saar for their support and are already looking forward to our upcoming “Summer Session.”

Summer Session of the EIuS-Juniorworkshop 2025/26

Students from the Saarbrücken Gymnasium am Rotenbühl with an interest in European and international law and politics once again had the opportunity to participate in the EIuS Junior Workshop at the Europa-Institut of Saarland University during this year’s summer programme. Through the workshops “The EU’s Dependence on Raw Materials” and “Responsible Lithium Extraction for Sustainable Technology”, participants explored key issues relating to Europe’s raw material security, sustainability, and technological transformation. The summer programme concluded with an excursion to the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Luxembourg, where students gained first-hand insights into the work of the European judiciary.
