Chair of Public Law, Public International Law, European Law, International Economic Law and Jean Monnet Chair for the EU Constitutional Framework for International Dispute Settlement and Rule of Law

At our chair, we contribute to research and teaching in the subjects of international law, European law, international business law and German public law at Saarland University, at universities abroad and in international law practice. As Jean Monnet Chair, a particular research focus is on the role of the European Union in shaping value-based dispute resolution in international economic law.

The chair holder is also the director of the Europa-Institut at Saarland University, where we co-organize a postgraduate Master's program in European and International Law (LL.M. for students from Germany and all over the world (in German and English) after their graduation in national studies.
