Deep Learning in Tomography

Collaborative project funded by Federal Ministry of Education and Research (2020-2023)

This collaborative project aims for the development of model-based as well as data driven methods for the big data technologies of correlative magnetic resonance imaging and high-throughput nano CT. This should lead to new innovative devices of the next generation. At the same time, driven by these applications, we expect significant advances for the mathematical research in the current research field at the interface of machine learning and inverse problems.

The collaborative project ist performed in cooperation with the University of Erlangen (Prof. Martin Burger), the University of Bremen (Dr. Tobias Kluth), with ProCon X-ray GmbH, Siemens Healthineers and the Universitätsklinikum Erlangen. Measurement data will also be provided by Fraunhofer IzfP Saarbrücken (Jonas Fell, Dr. Michael Maisl).
