Professional and Scientific Background
Corinna Jürgens studied Human Geography at the University of Freiburg, Münster and Perugia (Italy). In 2021 she received her master’s degree in Geography of Global Change from Freiburg University. Since January 2022 she is a PhD candidate in the working group at the Chair of European Studies, focusing on the research project „Urban borderlands on the periphery of Greater Paris. A discourse-theoretical analysis between macro- and microperspectives.“ There she is analysing social aspects of urban development and processes of (re-)bordering in the area around the Ourcq canal in the département of Seine-Saint-Denis (93) in the northeast of Paris.
