Research Master BioMed (M.Sc.)
Starting in the summer semester of 2026, the study program Research Master BioMed will be offered jointly by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. The following disciplines are involved:
- Life sciences
- Chemistry
- Computer science
- Pharmacy
- Physics
- the disciplines of the Faculty of Medicine
The program comprises theoretical and experimental/laboratory-oriented modules in which students acquire basic knowledge, apply modern research methods, and immerse themselves in scientific research. In the process, they learn to apply the rules for ensuring good scientific practice.
Over the course of a year, students receive a broad general education in natural sciences and related life sciences. At the same time, they can sharpen their profile in selected specialist areas. Self-study and independent research promote their personal responsibility.
Registration for the mandatory assessment procedure must be submitted by October 15 at the latest to the study coordinator Dr. Carsten Baltes (carsten.baltes(at)uni-saarland.de).
