    In this report a laboratory model of a flexible manufacturing line is described. The model was built at the Logic Control Lab (LCL) of the Institute of Automatic Control, at the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. The line is intended as a benchmark problem for logic control problems. The mechanical components are build using fischertechnik blocks. All sensors and actuators are chosen in standard industrial 24 V technology. The line is equipped with an interface that allows the connection to a programmable logic controller (PLC) and to an industrial PC (IPC) alternately. The report provides all the information needed to develop a controller for the manufacturing line
