Application deadlines

Please note the following application deadlines: 15 June for the winter semester, 15 December for the summer semester.

No student shall be admitted without prior nomination by her/his home university. An Email from the home university stating the name, address an email address of the student as well as the length of her/his stay is fully sufficient.

Language courses

The University of North offers both German courses for students at the International Study Center, as well as courses in various foreign languages ​​at the Language Center. Before the beginning of the semester, there is also the option to attend an intensive language course.

The courses award 3 or 6 ECTS points, depending on the scope.

Living in Saarbrücken

A stay in the dormitory is recommended, but there is also the possibility of looking for accommodation on the private housing market.

International Office Website

The International Office is the coordinating service point for all aspects of internationality at Saarland University. The employees oversee the international partnerships and exchange programs and are the point of contact for all international students, doctoral candidates and visiting scholars as well as for students at the Saar University who are interested in a stay abroad.
