Prof. Müller´s research group focuses on the molecular and cellular basis of learning and memory formation.

The following research areas are of particular interest:

  • Molecular foundations of long-term memory
  • Influence of metabolic processes, stress and circadian rhythm on learning and memory formation
  • Interactions between chromatin structure and learning processes
  • Influence of viral infections on neuronal plasticity
