The Titz research group focuses on the chemistry of active substances against multiresistant pathogens of infectious diseases.

The following research areas are of particular interest:

  • Synthesis of novel antibiotics and pathoblockers against multi-resistant germs
  • Synthesis of carbohydrates and glycomimetics as tools and agents
  • Biochemical and biophysical analytics Active ingredients and their target proteins
  • Microbiological diagnostics of biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa and others
