The Jung group is working on ultrasensitive fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy.

The following research areas are of particular interest:

  • Single molecule detection and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS)
  • Applications of autofluorescent proteins (GFP and related proteins)
  • Fluorescent dyes as intelligent sensors and marking tools
