Semester abroad (Erasmus+)

A stay abroad is mandatory in the Bachelor of European Studies. The study abroad is organized through the exchange program ERASMUS+. The contact point for information on studying abroad is the International Office (IO) of Saarland University, in particular the "Go Out! Service Center".

In the winter semester, the partner universities' announcements are published and applications can be submitted to the study coordinators in January and February.

Student email address

At the beginning of their studies, each student receives an email address from the university upon enrollment, which is used for all communication on the part of the university. The email addresses usually always begin with s8, followed by a combination of letters from parts of the first and last name and then You will receive your email address with your enrollment documents. Please familiarize yourself with your student email address in advance, as this is very important for communication during your studies and only this email ensures that study-related emails actually arrive. You will receive all important general information from the university as well as information about courses, exams and registration deadlines via this address. Note on the master password: You should keep the access password (master password) that you were given upon enrollment!  It is necessary in case you forget the password you chose yourself.

Digital teaching via MS Teams

Due to the Corona pandemic, courses could not be offered in face-to-face form in the winter semester 2020/21. To enable digital teaching, Saarland University has since made the Microsoft Teams platform available to its students free of charge. It is an important prerequisite for successful studies to become familiar with Microsoft Teams as quickly as possible.

Welcome event for first-semester students

Before the semester begins, there is a special welcome and information event for first-semester students. This takes place within the framework of the information weeks for first-semester students of the Faculty of Humanities.
