Conference Building

Young academics and professors at Saarland University can use the conference building of the August-Wilhelm Scheer Graduate Centre for their own events (meetings, conferences, retreats, workshops, guest lectures, disputations, etc.) in a quiet and idyllic setting.

The conference building offers the following infrastructure:

• Conference room with glazed side walls (size: approx. 10 x 11 m)
• Seating for up to 80 people
• Tables that can be set up flexibly (number: 20)
• Video conferencing technology incl. camera (specially set up for Microsoft Teams)
• Lectern and media technology (projector, loudspeakers, microphones, flexible lighting)
• WLAN access
• Ventilation system
• Foyer (size: approx. 2.9 x 10 m) with coat hooks
• Kitchen for catering (incl. microwave and dishwasher)
• Toilets

Use is free of charge for members of Saarland University, provided it is a scientific event. External users can book the conference building on request and against payment of a usage fee.
