Diversity Orientation Training (DOT)
The Diversity Orientation Training (DOT) of the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management Unit (CDM) is a lecture that was developed especially for professors and executives of Saarland University. In addition to the introduction to the concept and definitions of diversity as well as the corresponding policies, the participants receive awareness training in order to strengthen their understanding of diversity and discrimination. The training also includes case studies that provide practical examples of how to apply diversity principles. Measures taken by CDM are presented, such as promoting the compatibility of care responsibilities with studies or work, and supporting students with disabilities or chronic diseases. Overall, the DOT aims to promote an understanding of diversity, to combat discrimination, and to create an inclusive and equal opportunity environment at our university.
This training can be delivered in a variety of formats, including workshops, training courses, online courses, and presentations.
