Become a Diversity Ambassador at Saarland University

As a Diversity Ambassador, you will make our university even more colourful and inclusive. 

You will bring in the perspective of students, help to make diversity visible, and raise awareness within the university community for issues relating to diversity, equal opportunities and inclusion. 

Requirements: 
You are enrolled at the University of Saarland (bachelor’s or master’s degree) and have good language skills in German and/or English. 

 

Details

We are looking for two Diversity Ambassadors from 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026.
Scope of employment: 4 hours per week | Remuneration according to TV-L, pay grade E

Your tasks:

  • Creative involvement in awareness formats: podcasts, videos, social media posts or information material
  • Support for events, workshops and projects on diversity, anti-discrimination and inclusion
  • Contact person for students on all matters relating to a discrimination-free campus – you will forward concerns to the appropriate departments
  • Collaborating with the team at the Diversity Office of the Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management Unit
  • Networking with student initiatives, groups and external partners  

What we expect from you:

  • You are enrolled at Saarland University (bachelor's or master's degree) 
  • Interest in and commitment to diversity, equal opportunities and anti-discrimination 
  • Motivation to contribute your own perspectives and share creative ideas 
  • Good communication skills in German and English 
  • You have great team spirit, take the initiative and enjoy participating
  • Confident use of digital media (social media, audio/video skills are a plus)
