Training pharmacy

Learning environment of Clinical Pharmacy · for pharmacy students · used mainly in the Clinical Pharmacy seminar
In the training pharmacy, students practise working at the counter. It is set up like a community pharmacy, with two counters, an open display with drug samples, working checkout and pharmacy management systems, and barcode and prescription scanners. The focus is on simulated counselling sessions in which students take turns playing the pharmacist and the patient. Numerous demonstration devices, such as inhalers, pens, blood glucose meters or a breast pump, help them learn to explain how products are used. In age simulation suits they experience for themselves how limitations in vision or mobility make handling medicines harder. The aim is to become more confident in talking with patients and to be well prepared for the practical year.
