TWIN-EB
TWIN-EB: From Virtual Twins to Clinical Trials
Children and adults with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (RDEB) suffer from a rare, severe skin disease for which hardly any dosing data exist. TWIN-EB studies the pharmacokinetics and effects of losartan in RDEB and uses them to develop individualised, evidence-based dosing for children.
Our approach
We combine PBPK models and virtual twins of patients with RDEB with population pharmacokinetic models. The predictions are tested in the clinical study LESS-EB in Germany and Greece.
