The DAAD is an organisation that promotes and funds the international exchange of students and researchers. By doing so, they support the internationalisation of German universities and the teaching of German studies and language courses both in Germany and abroad. The DAAD organises, funds, and provides scholarships for exchange semesters, masters and doctoral programmes, research projects, internships, and residences for artists.
