Kinesio Taping

Kinesio Taping was developed at the beginning of the 70s by a Japanese physician and chiropractor Dr. Kenzo Kase

Kinesio Taping consists of „Kinesis” = Greek for „movement“ and „Taping” = English for “fixing with a tape”.

The tapes will be placed onto pre-stretched muscles and joints. Moving the muscle or the joint leads to a permanent shifting of the skin and the subcutaneous skin, which again leads to an activation of the muscles, ligaments or joints underneath as well as to an activation of the lymph flow, which brings the positive therapeutic effect. An additional benefit of the Kinesio Taping: since the pain often stops immediately, relieving postures and consequential problems, such as tensions, are prevented.
