Mental Health in Academia: MINDS Conference 2021
A group of international graduate students are presenting MINDS Conference 2021 in collaboration with Dragonfly Mental Health on 23rd September, 2021. It is a 24 hours event, to invite people from around the world.

The regulars' table "Queer and Beer" will meet in person again, starting in July
The regulars' table of the AK Queer UdS, the open-to-all LGBTQIA+ students group of Saarland University, will once again take place face-to-face every 2nd Thursday of the month beginning at 7pm. Please register in advance via email to queer(at)asta.uni-saarland.de, and provide a negative Corona rapid test result during the event. Registrations will be accepted until the 8th of July at 5pm. Information on the location and other relevant details will be shared via email after your registration.
"Fußball ist bunt!" - "Soccer is colourful!"
The German national team's upcoming match against Hungary has recently put the topic of homosexuality in soccer into focus. As Saarland University's Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management Unit, we would also like to use this occasion to expressly call for more solidarity, tolerance, and diversity in soccer and beyond.
On the occasion of these two days, the Unit of Equal Opportunities and Diversity Management has organized its firstDiversity @ UdS Online Panel.
Saarland University Signs "Charta der Vielfalt"
"On March 22, 2021, Saarland University's president, Manfred Schmitt, signed the "Charta der Vielfalt für Diversity in der Arbeitswelt". In signing the Charta, the university has expressed its commitment to the creation of a study and work environment that is free of discrimination and prejudice, and in which all members of the university are respected and supported in all their diversity.

March 21st has been declared "International Day Against Racism" by the United Nations.
On this occasion, the UdS expressly formulates its clear stance against racism and any form of group-related enmity:
In a place where people from 140 nations, of all ages and genders, with diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds learn with and from one another, there is no place for racism.
Genderneutral restroom signs at SULB
The restroom and changing room signs at SULB have recently been replaced with gender neutral versions.
Panel Discussion: "Exploring Difference: Diversity driving excellence - Gaining the competitive edge"
The International Dialogue on Education initiative is organizing a virtual panel discussion on October 27, 2020. The event is aimed at university, faculty and department heads, and at people working in the fields of equality, diversity and student support. F.R.A.U. Online Meeting on 29 October 2020
In an online meeting organised within the framework of the project F.R.A.U. (Female Refugees at Saarland University), the Equal Opportunities Unit at Saarland University would like to offer female refugees and women with a migration background a safe space for communication, and provide information on a variety of services offered at Saarland University. Summer Semester 2020 Online Meeting
As a part of the Diversity@UdS project at Stabsstelle Chancengleichheit and in cooperation with MentoMINT - Mentoringprogramm für MINT-interessierte Schülerinnen, we are again offering an academic networking group for women with a refugee or migration background. This group is for female refugee students and female students with a migration background at Saarland University. As well as those interested in studying at Saarland University in the future are also welcome. The information is in German, English, Arabic and Tigrnya languages to reach out to maximum people. The next meeting takes place on 2.07.2020 via Zoom. Time: 4 pm to 6 pm
