We are pleased to welcome Dr. Jingqi Yan from Zhejiang Gongshang University (China) to join the Computer Science and Computational Linguistics Lab for one year as a visiting scholar. The research stay is funded by the China Scholarship Council (CSC).

Dr. Yan’s work falls in the fields of connective processing, causal relations, deaf studies and stylometry.

The International Congress of Phonetic Sciences (ICPhS) is one of the largest and one of the earliest conferences for all aspects of phonetic research. Usually held every four years, there were 19 meetings since its inauguration in 1932. The 16th ICPhS in Saarbrücken was the first that made and maintained its proceedings online.
