The Language Centre offers UdS staff a variety of language courses, language breaks, workshops/ateliers etc. in English and French.
July-September 2026
NEW "English Level Check" (A2) – you can participate in a mock version of an official language test and see how well you'd be able to cope (meeting to explain the procedure on 27 August, test simulation on 3 September)
If you just want to speak English, take a walk with us through "English on the Go"

- NEW A2 English Refresher (Tue 8.15-9.15), starts on 22 September 2026
- B1 Englisch im Berufsalltag (Wed 12-13), starts on 21 October 2026
- B1+ Office English (online) (Mon 13-14), starts on 19 October 2026
- B2 English at Work: Discussing Current Issues (Tue 13-14), starts on 22 September 2026
- NEU B2 English: International Connect (online) (Wed 12-13), starts on 21 October 2026
or attend our
- language breaks in Englisch (Thursday Talks, Easy Talks) und French (Französische Pause)

Registration
In order to register, you must first acquire the approval of your supervisor. The current agreement with both the academic staff council and the administrative staff council remains in place, so there is no need to request individual approval from the staff council.
