Bürgerfest zum Tag der Deutschen Einheit 2025 in Saarbrücken - die Uni war dabei, das Sprachenzentrum auch!

Vom Leiter bis zum Team der Sprachprogrammverantwortlichen: Wir waren mit unserem Publikumsmagneten vor Ort – dem Glücksrad! Beim Sprachenquiz war die Begeisterung groß: Jung und Alt machten mit und freuten sich über kleine Preise.

Die Frage „Wie viele Sprachen sprichst du?“ kam super an und brachte Menschen ganz unkompliziert ins Gespräch – über Sprachen, Mehrsprachigkeit und kulturelle Vielfalt.

Viele neugierige Besucherinnen und Besucher, tolle Gespräche und Freude pur: Für uns war der Tag ein voller Erfolg. Danke an alle, die vorbeigeschaut haben!

To mark the Open Campus event, we’ve put together some fascinating facts about languages and cultures. Did you know, for example, that emojis were already being used in the 19th century? And that the first digital emoji actually came from Japan?

    RoPeCast (Landespreis Hochschullehre 2016)

    On 13 March 2017, the RoPeCast team was awarded the State Teaching Award 2016 by the Minister-President of the Saarland.

    By a stroke of luck, we were able to record our 100th episode live at the award ceremony! In this special episode, our listeners learn how to name specific political roles and offices in English.

    Ropecast has been running for several years now.
