As part of the European University Alliance Transform4Europe (T4EU), a wide range of events and opportunities are available to students, researchers, and staff. T4EU brings together universities from Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, France, Slovenia, and Germany.

Improve your French or English in an international environment!
This July, the University of Saarland is offering online intensive courses in English and French. In these courses, you will get the chance to work with motivated students from across the T4EU alliance to expand your language skills! Here’s what you need to know:
- What? Online intensive courses in English and French
- When? July 20th to 30th – 8 course days in total – daily from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. CEST
- Where? Online
- Who? All T4EU students with a B1 language level.
- 3 ECTS
Additionally, there will be a kick-off meeting to take care of all organizational matters. More information and the sign up link is available in the Transform4Europe course catalog.
A Journey with Transform4Europe

Le cours est ouvert à tous les étudiants du réseau T4EU. Vous rencontrerez donc virtuellement des étudiants de toute l’Europe, et nous apprendrons, dans une ambiance sympathique, comment parler et écrire à des vrais Français !
Au programme :
- Révision de différents point de grammaire
- Expression orale et écrite
- Écrire des mails officiels et personnels
- Le langage moderne
- Et surtout… s’amuser !

T4EU Study Trip to Alicante, Spain
In March 2024, a group of Spanish learners from the Language Centre and the Chair of Language Science took part in a study trip to Alicante as part of the Transform4Europe Alliance.
The participants from Saarbrücken had the opportunity to meet students from the University of Alicante, explore the city and campus, experience Spanish culture and history – and, of course, enjoy Mediterranean cuisine.
The travel diary offers a glimpse into the experience and might just inspire you to hop on a plane yourself – or even join one of our upcoming study trips!
