Peer guidance and support
The General Student Committee (AStA) is a committee that is elected by students. It is divided into various topics or departments and advises German and international students on all aspects of studies and student life.
Student communities are formed by students of the same subject who are elected by other fellow students. They represent the students’ interests during meetings and organize introductory courses for students in the first semester as well as parties and trips.
Experienced students support newcomers during their first semester as mentors. As personal contact persons, they answer questions about study organisation, help students find their way around campus and establish contacts.
The Refugee Law Clinic Saarbrücken e.V. offers competent and free legal advice and support to refugees and asylum seekers. At the same time, law students and students of other disciplines are provided the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge into practice.
