International staff mobility
Erasmus+ lecturer mobility
Visiting lecturers strengthen the European dimension of the host university through their stay at a partner university, complement their teaching offer and impart their expertise to students who do not want to or cannot study abroad. This is why Erasmus+ supports visiting lecturers stays at partner universities and other institutions.
Erasmus+ staff mobility
Erasmus+ enables further training measures (e.g. job shadowing, workshops, seminars or language courses) for university staff in programme countries to expand internationalisation. Funding is available for university staff from all areas, such as administration, libraries, subject areas or technology and transfer.
Researchers abroad
Researchers and scholars from Saarland University are always drawn to foreign countries, where they advance their work together with colleagues there, conduct research in laboratories, libraries or archives and take part in conferences. Along the way, they get to know the science and higher education systems of other countries. In some cases, they are supported by highly remunerative scholarships.
Researchers to Eastern Europe
Within the framework of the DAAD-funded "Eastern Partnerships", the University maintains close relations with partner universities in Bulgaria, Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic. Researchers and graduates from all disciplines can complete a guest lectureship at one of these partner universities. Erasmus+ also enables teaching stays abroad in so-called "partner countries", which include countries in Eastern Europe, South-Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
