University Senate and University Council
The University Senate is the central regulatory body for Saarland University. It performs important supervisory functions, is responsible for decisions in matters of research and teaching and participates in the election of the University President.
The University Council is involved in the university's decision-making processes and oversees the management of the University Board. The balanced composition of the Council ensures that the university benefits from professional expertise drawn from various areas of its operations.
