Saarland University is expanding its portfolio of advanced professional study programmes in management and will be offering a one-year, English-language MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation beginning in the 2026/2027 winter semester. The Department of Business Science and Economics at the Europa-Institut for Advanced Behavioural Management organizes the programme, which complements the 'MBA European Management' programme that has been on offer for over 35 years. Building on a solid foundation in general management, the MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation provides in-depth expertise in entrepreneurship and innovation management. Participants learn to develop new business models, manage innovation projects and implement entrepreneurial initiatives in both start-ups and established companies.

The programme prepares students for tasks across the entire innovation process – from idea generation through prototyping and business model development to market launch. In 15 compact block courses, management fundamentals, the European regulatory framework, financial management, marketing and operations are combined with specialized modules on business model development, marketing of innovations, prototyping and agile project management, data analytics projects and entrepreneurial management.

Upon successful completion of the modules and the final three-month Master's thesis, Saarland University awards graduates the internationally recognized M.B.A. degree. An international team of professors and managers with practical industry experience delivers all modules in English. Small groups of no more than 30 participants facilitate in-depth discussion, personalized support and a close-knit network with fellow students from around the world.

Students benefit from the programme's integration into Saarland University's profile as an 'Entrepreneurial University', as well as from its close links to the Triathlon ecosystem for entrepreneurship, innovation and technology transfer. The programme's location in the German-French-Luxembourg border region provides access to several economic areas and labour markets, as well as to a dense network of companies and research institutions across the Greater Region.

The MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation is aimed, amongst others, at:

· (prospective) founders who are setting up or preparing to launch a start-up,

· specialists and managers responsible for innovation projects or who take on entrepreneurial roles within their organizations and

· professionals and Ph.D. candidates from other disciplines who wish to specifically expand their business management skills with knowledge of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Furthermore, the programme is aimed at companies wishing to provide their staff with further training and strengthen their innovation skills. Individual modules can also be taken as certified continuing professional development modules.

Participants can also take all modules as certified one-off events.
