Erasmus+ staff mobility

Are you thinking about coming to Saarbrücken for a staff exchange or maybe already in the middle of planning your stay? Then please make use of this overview of the most important information that you need to prepare your stay.

Formalities surrounding your Erasmus+ staff mobility

Before your stay begins, a mobility agreement will be concluded. The sending and receiving institutions conclude a mobility agreement with you, which, in addition to the objectives of the mobility measure, also stipulates key data such as the assignment of content and the duration. It has to be signed by you, the contact person at your university and by our university.

It is followed by a grant agreement, which forms the contractual and financial basis for the stay abroad and must therefore be submitted before the stay begins. The grant agreement contains, among other things, the duration of the funding period, the reporting obligations of the recipients as well as the intended financial Erasmus+ funding and the method of payment. It has to be signed by you and the contact person at the host university.

At the end of your stay, you will receive a confirmation of stay. With this document our university confirms your stay. It includes the following information: day of arrival/ activity days/ day of departure/ hours taught at the university (in case of a teaching mobility).

Both Saarbrücken and Homburg have a campus that is worth a visit.
The Saarbrücken campus is set in a green, forested area and combines academic buildings with cafés, sports facilities, and student housing in a compact, lively setting.
The Homburg campus is integrated into the Saarland University Medical Center, bringing together teaching, research, and clinical practice in one place.

The SULB Central Library is located at the heart of Saarbrücken campus and offers books and materials for all subjects and departments, as well as larger rooms to read and study.
