For decades, it's been the market that should take care of everything, while people were told they were ultimately responsible for themselves. And now … there's a renewed yearning for a 'strong hand'? For leaders who – no matter what they say or do – can never be quite authoritarian enough? In a series of panel discussions critically engaging the stage productions of Käsch und Naziss, Napoleon, and Richard III, the Käte Hamburger Centre CURE and the Saarland State Theatre will explore the roots of this 'yearning for autocrats'.
