Starterstudium International

Saarland University aims to support threatened students and prospective students that had to flee from Ukraine in the summer semester 2022. The program "Starterstudium International" was therefore created to give these students a guest access to the offers of Saar University and students will be accompanied during the process of a regular application to Saarland University for the winter semester 2022/23.

The offer is created for students who can no longer continue their studies in Ukraine due to the current crisis and are currently living in Saarland. This applies to both students with Ukrainian nationality and students from other countries, if they can prove that they have previously studied in Ukraine.

The program of the Starterstudium International includes a combination of the following offers:

• Language preparation, as long as places are available
• An orientation program for "German University Culture
• A coaching for students to undergo the regular application process for a study place in the winter semester 2022/23
• In case of sufficient language skills: integration in selected lectures
