Historical Studies in a European Perspective (M.A.)
The Master's degree programme "Historical Studies in a European Perspective" at Saarland University is the programme of choice for anyone looking to undertake advanced studies in history with special emphasis on European history. The M.A. programme offers students the opportunity to study and address major issues in European history. The curriculum covers the entire gamut of European history, addressing all historical periods from classical antiquity up to the present day and viewed from the perspective of the two major thematic subfields: economic and social history and cultural and media history. The European dimension and European aspects are at the centre of these studies. Special taught courses, cross-border projects and specially designed work placements underscore the core focus of the programme.
